Evin Collis: “Venezia Doodles”

The city we inhabit influences how we see and act in our daily lives. It is interesting to see the different ways a city you live in has been interpreted and reflected through Visual Art History, but it can often be more interesting to see how young international Artists illustrate historical cities like Venice.

Evin Collis is a young Artist from Winnipeg, Canada who paints colourful satires inspired from history, daily life, and his travels around the world.  Here is a small collection of his sketches inspired from his 2010 stay in Venice.

Acqua Alta. Ink & watercolour on paper. 12 x 10.5in.

Pulcinella Goes Winnipeg on Pigeon. Ink and watercolour on paper. 12 x12in
